For those of you reading this article and are not familiar with SearchWarp, authors can give a personal status update about anything. We will post what we are working on, talk about the weather or congratulate someone for an accomplishment. As I said, whatever update you want to post, you can do it on the homepage of the site.
For instance, I learned from Jeff Brown through the update, that the Top 10 of the Top 100 Authors have a longevity average of three years writing for SearchWarp. You get this kind of trivia, to updates about children and other family members. We Twitter in our own way and stay connected.
What is The SearchWarp Game? It is something I made up, actually. You will never hear me complain about being bored. There is far too much to do for leisure and life! The homepage at SearchWarp has a section called "Most Recent" which lists the most recent article submissions. There is also a section called "Featured Authors" on the homepage.
I've been around for a little while now and have joined many fan clubs at SearchWarp. Well, yes. SearchWarp has Fan Clubs, too. I have shared with family and friends that I, "moi" have fans! I get such a kick out of that! I also get a kick out of reading from the many categories of articles found at SearchWarp. Since you become a fan of the authors, you get a sense of personalities from their writing. We can also comment on articles that we've read. The comments also reveal more about personalities and what's important to someone.
The SearchWarp Game is fun with all of this information. I'm probably not the only one who does this and if I am, I offer no excuses for my choice of pleasure. I will read the Most Recent section and pair the submission with the author in the Featured Authors section to determine: Who Wrote that Article?
Through the process of elimination, I may get some correct because a new author may be featured. Let me say this. We get an email of recent submissions of the authors if we are a member of their Fan Club. I do not open the email if I want to play The SearchWarp Game. Honestly, I don't!
When I looked this morning, I knew Get off the Tracks!!! was submitted by Myla Madson. I saw Terry Mitchell's name and then looked at the Recent Submissions. I was certain he'd written, Will Retirement Soon Be Obsolete, after looking at the other articles. Check! I almost always get Susan Thom and Robert Melaccio's submissions correct. Joel Hendon fooled me a few weeks ago with his submission on How to Appease That Itching Back. I laughed out loud on getting that one wrong. Yes, I get them wrong, too. I would guess I'm at the 80/20 ratio, with getting more correct than not.
There are some articles you just know who wrote them. That makes being an author at SearchWarp worthwhile. This is a community where you actually get to know people in a special way. Reading and writing opens up the world to us. Community is worldwide and SearchWarp helps to enlarge communities. If you want to become a part of this community, sign up right now!

Hi Avis.I've never actually played your game. I always look at the e-mail and sometimes use the link that is there to go to the article (like right now). But like you, I do get a sense of who has written what. I gives me the feeling of belonging and being a part of something. It's a good feeling. Thanks for a wonderful article.Hugs,Dianne"It gives me the feeling of belonging and being a part of something. It's a good feeling."
Dianne, thank you for reading and your confirming comments. That quote summarizes how I feel, too. An annoying voice tried to tell me I was being silly for writing this and enjoying a "good feeling" about it. I gave myself a pep talk, that voice a cold shoulder and continued with the article. From the comments, I am delighted I did. Besides, it's how I feel and I do not discount good feelings. It's the bad ones I do not want!
Hugs back,
Avis
Avis,Very homey and heartfelt article. It has a wonderful touch and flow. Nice Searchwarp ad too. Bruce needs to send you a check.Peace!*hands on hips* If Bruce sent you a check for your Dear Searchwarp: I have written the Perfect Article, then you bet! Show me the money! (Did I butcher the title?)
Jeff, I got that warm fuzzy feeling writing this. Call me corny but I did. Your comments are very much appreciated. What you described is spot on. I like knowing it came through as genuine. Thank you very much!
In the Spirit,
Avis
Hi Avis I am glad you didn`t let that annoying little voice sway you from writing this article - it was very enjoyable indeed. I also couldn`t help but think that you never get me wrong with my article titles.Keep WellKacyKacy, hi and thanks for commenting. You're right, I rarely get you wrong either. Of course I thought of you while writing this but did not want to risk offending you in any way by including you. You will toss in a few off-the-beaten-path articles but for the most part, you're true to your niche.
You've made me smile really big, Kacy! Thanks bunches!
Hugging life with love,
AvisAnd big hugs back to you. I loved the way you detailed my titles like ones relating to the "off beaten path" What a lovely way of putting this cross - and now would you believe I don`t feel a sort of dirty when writing anymore, (niche or no niche) in fact from this day on I am sort of going tp feel good about being dirty (lol). Wouldn`t this be a good category for Searchwarp to add to their database - "off beaten path" purely for KacyKeep WellKacyWatch out world, here comes the NEW, Kacy! lol I'm delighted I made you laugh, Kacy. I am also happy, niche or no niche, you will enjoy feeling a bit naughty with each submission! You have an audience and a following. I think they'd like knowing you are having fun! This little boost will energize you more for Graciemae! lol
Oh yes, glad ya liked the off-the-beaten-path distinction!
*hugs* Have fun at the weekend!!I was having a great time for a minute there Avis before you mentioned Graciemae - and hats off to you for remembering her name. As soon as I seen her name and your last line on your reply i.e. below - instead of distinction I saw "Destruction" God help me on Monday when she arrives."Oh yes, glad ya liked the off-the-beaten-path distinction!"Keep wellKacy
Great article--I like to do the same thing. I have guessed Dianne's and Robert's several times. I have Sue's down and I am getting pretty good at Jeff's too. Love this SW family game :-) I wonder how many know mine :-) Hugs, Sistah T.Sistah T, I knew I wasn't the only one who did this! And, I know yours. I read Myla and Sandra's comments and I think we may become part of the game. They may change their style to fool us. Pssst...be on alert!
Enjoy a lovely weekend, my sistah. Love ya bunches, too!
Avis
You've got us all pegged do you? 80/20, that's one heck of a record. Perhaps we should all start playing our own games and see if we can't start fooling you some with out of character article titles. My first one would be: America's Economic Crisis, The Bush Legacy... or something along those lines.I've never been accused of following politics very closely because I feel dirty just mentioning the word Politics, and when I'm really feeling naughty I'll sometimes mention the word "politician". That's not to say I'm cluless on the subject but the whole subject matter is disgusting to me and I can only take it in small doses.Hey, I noticed your bio and website, and let me say, wow, what an amazing thing you are doing for the community with pregnant teens. This service is so needed and important. And speaking of politicians, isn't there going to be some stimulus money for programs like yours? I hope so, you so richly deserve help in your cause, I doubt it though, it seems our government is Hell bent on rewarding failure and you are anything but. Keep up the great work you are doing and thanks for so many well written and thought provoking articles...and oh yeah, for mentioning my name in this one! he-he, lol,MylaMyla Madson! You do that and I will send you to your room! Leave it to you to suggest a switcheroo in writing style to trip us up!
Oh Myla, I feel you re: the subject of politics. I somehow feel you may have stronger convictions, though because you're more informed than I am. I try to stay aware and especially if something trickles down that can help with the Home. Thank you for your encouragement, suggestions and support. There were/are federal grants available for these programs but Myla, the song and dance routines you go through prior to being awarded one (if you are) and after being awarded one, is greater than staffing. More important than that, when the government becomes involved, too many restrictions are imposed which all but diminishes what our vision and values are for our Home.
Say a little prayer. It's happening. Just slowly but steadily. You'd be great to come speak to them. The plan is to get sponsorships for outside guests. I have tapped quite a few from SearchWarp for the Home. No pressure, of course. It's on the Wish List.
Thanks for dropping in and don't make me change the rules of the game, please?
Enjoy a lovely weekend!
We will now have to come up with some new material--you have grown to know us too well, Avis! I don't think I've ever read an article on searchwarp that I didn't enjoy tremendously. We have that type of group--such a variety of wonderful writers--you just gotta love it!Thanks for putting into words what most of us were just thinking. You're great.God bless and have a wonderful weekend.SandraMrs. Graham, you and Myla on the same wavelength! *laughing* No new material....well yes, new material but don't change your style!
