The Magic of These Three Word Phrases

We often say misery loves company but some of us are actually different and do not adhere to this philosophy. Certain personality types will do their best to help others out of depression, disappointment, sadness and forlornness. If you would like to help but do not know what to say, these three word phrases could provide the encouragement you need to pass on to them. All the daylong, we can find ways to utter these phrases to sustain our peace, bless others and annoy the enemy! One of my most favorite things to do is to annoy the adversary.

We are to count it all joy when we go through trials, tribulations, challenges, and face obstacles. Having heard for years that "what does not kill you will only make you stronger;" I have come to believe it because of a past that confirms it. When you need a pick-me-upper or need to pass one along, try any of these magical phrases:

1.     Thank you, Jesus/Lord/Father!

2.      I love Jesus!

3.      I love you!

4.      Jesus loves me!

5.      Jesus is real!

6.      God loves you!

7.      God is amazing!

8.      Bless His name!

9.      Praise His name!

10.   God is love!

11.   God is alive!

12.   I'm His friend!

13.   He's my Friend!

14.  You are loved!

15.  You are needed!

16.  You are blessed!

17.  I am needed!

18.  I am blessed!

19.  I have favor!

20.  I am victorious!

There are many others but these came to mind quickly. Add to this list daily and enjoy the changes that take place in your day. Where the presence of the Lord is, there is strength and victory! There is absolutely nothing too hard for Him. We are required to do our part. Doing our part does not make His love conditional. His love is unconditional; but His promises are not without conditions. They require sincere input from us.

Sue, you flatter me, thank you kindly. I wondered about February and what happened but realized nothing. I haven't stopped believing for your victory. What we must remember is our whole life has been orchestrated before our time and the yes' and no's we get are to uphold and fulfill our destiny. We will interfere sometimes but it's my belief things do work out for us in our best interest when we believe. So, I'm believing. You are victorious! Thanks for your comments. Yes, God loves you and your family. That made me smile, really big! His best regards and my love.

Avis, you have a beautiful soul, sweet friend, and are correct as you pen, "...Where the presence of the Lord is, there is strength and victory!..." Amen to that! I remember last year when you stated that you felt inferior to other writers as you were doubting your own skill; may I say that I believe you are gifted with the written word and do so very eloquently! I so look forward to the day we can embrace each other in the flesh and not virtually but for now, I am virtually giving over a great big bear hug your way. Thank you!

Avis, I loved your article and your source of inspiration (parents: read you bio). Parents need to teach, and if they teach of the Lord and His teachings all is well. All is well. I receive daily spiritual reminders from the leaders of my church about my responsibilities to my wife, family, community, and of course, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I also dispense daily encouragement to friends, family, church members, students, colleagues, and the silence is odd yet accepted as many are not used to being told sincerely that they are of great worth. We need more encouragement in this world. Unfortunately, 80% of inner dialogue for most is negative; it’s why many often spout Christianity is a crutch. Not so. It is the foundation to a solid, strong, giving life. Without it all too often and all too easily do we turn inward, a seeking of the self. I have been there (addiction, anger, aggression, depression, suicidal tendencies, hopelessness) and it is a terrible way to live. It is NOT living. Only by observing intelligently and often our weaknesses will we become strong, refined, a useful instrument in His hands to forge a path of betterment not only for ourselves but for our families and all those we come in contact. If we open our spiritual eye to the import, the purpose, essential need and miracle of sacrifice to wife, child, community, world, we do see our real reason for being, a giving to shine on in the face of all evil, especially the one who seeks to destroy us at every turn, the one we should seek to frustrate in all ways in kind. Peace to you and to all you touch.

Jeff, thank you so very much. You are right on target about parenting. Thank you for mentioning mine. Your comments ministered to me, Jeff. What we 'say' is not completely empty, even if it's true but not experienced; but the true validation comes when we have experienced the things about which we speak and talk to others. You have been there and walked out! What a lovely testimony! And now, you are doing what is required of us all by encouraging everyone with whom your life touches. Perhaps you have and I will read more of your articles but you should take these comments and compose an article, Jeff. There is so much wisdom in your comments and many others should be privy to them. *warm smile* Just a thought. Blessings and Peace to you. Thank you so very much!

Hi Avis, Thank you for the encouraging, edifying words. I loved your line about enjoying "annoying the adversary." Me too! When wife and I face an especially trying circumstance, we view Satan as standing by with a big smile on his face. Then we take it as our goal to wipe that smile off his face as we give God glory and choose to trust Him IN our trial. You have raised a point that many of us miss. Spiritual victory is not in submitting to God alone. It involves "resisting the devil", too (Jas 4:7). Now, here are three words for you, Avis: Keep blessing people!

Dane, hello. I appreciate you for your comments and encouragement. I love the way you and your wife handle attacks from satan! I get a clear visual of the two of you armed with the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit and the garment of praise with each wipe! That you quoted Jas 4:7 is not surprising. A friend and I were talking about that scripture earlier this week. You've said what we did. Many times we will dissect a scripture and concentrate on just a portion of it. Well, I do not want a portion of my blessings but all of it! I'd 'settle' for a double portion, however, of His anointing. *smiling* Thank you for blessing me, Dane.
