A $100 Investment that makes a Double Impact on the World

When I read the title of the contest, I thought of the many troubles facing the world and wondered, how could just $100 make a difference? It is with shame and repentance that I confess my lack of faith and apathy for not giving the contest further consideration.

Today on the homepage of Search Warp, an article entitled, "Making the World Better with $100," caught my attention and I was immediately convicted in my spirit. I read Kirk McCormick's article and found others had not been as apathetic as I, had submitted articles. There is but one $100 grand prize, however, hundreds of us should have entered based on "what if" instead of "if" I win. It would be great if the winner actually does what they wrote to make a difference in our world.

Now that I think about making a difference in the world with only $100, I am taken to a supernatural banquet with Jesus, His disciples and followers. This supernatural feast served a multitude of over 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes! Read the following taken from:

Mark 6: King James Version (KJV)

35 And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed:

36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat . And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see . And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.

40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.

42 And they did all eat, and were filled.

43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.

44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

After remembering this story, I asked myself, how can I take a $100 investment and have a double impact on the world? Only in tithing (one-tenth) of my increase can I receive one hundred fold. I have no secular investments earning such dividends. I was then reminded of Life Today, James and Betty Robison's Ministry. I recalled the Double Impact their ministry makes with its Mission Feeding outreach. A $100 donation would be the equivalent of $200 and a supernatural increase is made! $100 helps feed and minister to 10 children for 4 months!

After receiving $100 from this contest, I will match that $100 and ask each of my siblings (5) for just $20 to total $300. This $300 would feed these 10 children for one year; or have a $600 impact, which began with $100! I love this kind of celestial multiplication!

Prayerfully, introducing Life Today's Ministry will awaken the consciousness of others who will make contributions so they too, can have a Double Impact on the World. Mother Teresa said: " When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed ." I have no financial interest in this ministry. The Robisons' are my spiritual parents in the Lord. The website has fiscal accountability reports. I believe they are truly a husband and wife after God's own heart.

Avis, nice title! I like the willingness you have to match the $100. and the enthusiasm to ask others to contribute. I concur with you that the Robison's have a great ministry and are doing great things. I hope you win. Be blessed!

Joseph, thank you for posting again. I was one of the winners but not the winner of the $100. I am honoured my article was selected as one of the prize winners. I'll receive a 6 month Premier Listing of my website on 2 of SearchWarp's sister sites, including here! I did make a donation to Life Today's Ministry.
